Responsibilities

Summary 
The Aerospace Corporation is looking for a Senior Requirements Engineer (SRE) to provide on-site space-related analytical support to the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Systems and Resource Analyses, Deputy Associate Director for Requirements Analyses (ADNI/SRNSA), Directorate for Enterprise Capacity (EC) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.  The SRE will support the government in the implementation of the Intelligence Community Capability Requirements (ICCR) process to include space related requirements, formulation, requirements tracking, evaluation, and validation.  
 

Key Functions

  • Space-related Requirements Analysis to include, but not limited to: IC capability requirements definitions (statement of capabilities, IC capability requirements, and enterprise capability documents.)  
  • Support to implement the ICCR process to include space related requirements formulation, requirements tracking, evaluation, and validation.
  • Support to ICCR policy and process improvement activities and integration into other SRA and ODNI processes 
  • Cross community integration and outreach. Scheduling, training, briefing and meeting facilitation 
  • Assist the government in the following areas:  
    • Space related Requirements Analysis, 
    • Space related Requirements Generation or Assessment, 
    • Statement of Capabilities generation and coordination, 
    • Participate in the Validation Process, 
    • Execute Outreach Activities
       
Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, operations research, computer science, mathematics, or an appropriate technical discipline from a recognized institution
  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible experience in relevant area
  • Ability to apply systems engineering and technical analysis principles, theories and methods to assess the requirements formulation and validation of intelligence systems.  
  • Background or knowledge in requirements generation as they relate to space, ground, information technology, and other intelligence systems.  
  • Excellence in communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Active TS/SSBI/SCI
  • This position requires the ability to maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, operations research, computer science, mathematics, data science and analytics or other technical discipline or an appropriate technical discipline from a recognized institution
  • Understanding of all aspects of the requirements formulation and validation and ability to assess program requirement risk areas and to programs design baseline cost and acquisition schedules.
  • Experience with analysis of capability requirements and alternatives to help guide recommendations for future major system acquisitions 
  • Experience in ICCR process
  • Familiarity with National Security Space collection capabilities for both current and future overhead architectures
  • Experience on an intelligence or military staff, advising senior officials
