Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities

The candidate will provide on-site analytical support in the area of space/ground systems and architectures which will inform high-level resource decisions for the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Enterprise Capacity, Deputy Associate Director for Requirements Analyses (ADNI/EC/SRNSA) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).   The candidate will assist the government team in developing new modeling tools that can be used to enhance systems analysis.  Additionally, the candidate will interpret results of data analysis to key decision makers, and brief and interact with senior government customers on a frequent basis.  Finally, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Aerospace reachback support on technical analysis, studies, threats, technologies, and in-depth assessments based on the customer needs.
 

Key Functions

  • Conduct first-order systems analysis of proposed satellite and constellation capabilities
  • Perform reach back to Aerospace Engineering Matrix subject matter experts to oversee more in-depth analyses when needed
  • Interpret all analysis results in light of customer needs and brief them to senior government decision makers
  • Interact with and advise senior customers on effective ways forward to meet intelligence mission needs
  • Understand threats and how they impact requirements
  • Understand technology demonstrates that are capabilities driven and how to develop future systems level requirements 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, operations research, or related fields from a recognized institution
  • 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Proven capabilities in operations research and/or systems analysis
  • Familiarity with National Technical Means collection capabilities for both current and future overhead architectures
  • Proven experience with orbital analysis
  • Proven experience on an intelligence or military staff, advising senior officials
  • Current Top Secret and SSBI
  • This position requires the ability to have and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering, operations research, or related fields from a recognized institution
  • Experience with collectors / spacecraft hardware development programs
  • Proven excellence in communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Familiarity in the areas of GEOINT, SIGINT, COMM and Ground systems
  • Experience working with and leading senior government/SETA/FFRDC personnel and teams
  • Experience in working with the intelligence community
