Responsibilities

The Corporate Strategy Office is a fast-paced high-visibility environment facilitating the CEO, EVP, and other executives in the development and propagation of strategic plans and materials. This position provides the Corporate Strategy Office with experience and insight into the technologies and programs that are encountered in the development and communication of the corporation’s strategy. Strong communication skills, an ability to connect the dots, and a strong understanding of Aerospace’s value proposition are key elements of success.

 

Responsibilities include providing key inputs for material used by the CEO and the Board of Trustees, including quarterly written reports and briefings, surveys of key customers, and annual summaries of corporate performance. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the Corporate Strategic Initiative Project portfolio, managing the Value Team, and supporting the EVP in various efforts as needed.

 

Key Functions

  • Research and prepare material for the corporation’s board of trustees to communicate the corporation’s strategy, goals and performance, including briefings given by and on behalf of the CEO
  • Develop strategic communications outlining the corporation’s key strategic imperatives, their intent, and implications, and rationale
  • Oversee the corporation’s Strategic Initiative program which includes: working with the EVP, developing priorities and budgets for the program, coordinating “deep dive” presentations, and tracking and assessing performance
  • Develop and manage the Value Team, a select group of early career professionals who develop Value Vignettes and other materials that put the corporation’s greatest achievements in a strategic context

Qualifications

Required

  • Advanced degree in a technical discipline such as science, engineering, or mathematics
  • Experience in technical or programmatic leadership roles (typically 12 years) 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with senior executives
  • Current and active Top Secret/SCI Clearance 

Preferred

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a technical discipline
  • Experience in both ETG and program office roles, associated with classified and unclassified programs
  • Experience with R&D, business development, or other corporate-funded development efforts
