The Aerospace Corporation is looking for a Schedule Analyst. The qualified candidate will become part of the Integrated Cost and Schedule Analysis (iCASA) Department. iCASA resides in the Systems Engineering Division and conducts highly informative schedule risk assessments for a wide variety of government and commercial space, ground, and launch systems.



Key Functions 

  • Provide research and analysis of schedule and technical data, along with the development of schedule risk assessments to support the government in the procurement of cost-effective space systems for a wide customer base: DoD, Civil and Commercial, and the Intelligence Community
  • Lead support to space, launch and/or ground acquisition program offices and independent review teams in a wide range of programmatic and technical analyses
  • Additional activities may include: support to engineering trade studies; program technical baseline development support; cross-program timeline studies; proposal evaluation support; derivation of schedule estimating relationships; development and maintenance of in-house simulation models and tools
  • Candidates must be able to communicate sophisticated concepts to the customer and be responsible for ensuring Aerospace technical quality in terms of completeness, relevance, accuracy and timeliness
  • Candidates must be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, react quickly to changing requirements and schedules
  • Candidates must be able to think critically and work effectively to synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Mentor junior level staff charged with similar duties
  • Travel when required



This position is available as an Engineering Specialist or Sr. Engineering Specialist 


Required for Engineering Specialist


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience including, knowledge of space and launch systems; ground systems knowledge highly desirable
  • Experience developing and maintaining MS Project schedules; familiarity with industry schedule models, methodologies, and schedule databases.
  • Experience conducting schedule risk assessments is strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with schedule modeling, Monte-Carlo simulations, statistical analysis along with VBA or other advanced programming skills are strongly desired
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher. US citizenship is required 




  • Current TS/SCI clearance
  • An Advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or related field



Required for Sr. Engineering Specialist 


  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience, including detailed experience with space and launch systems acquisition as well as systems engineering planning; ground systems experience highly desirable;
  • Broad internal recognition from peers and Aerospace Program Offices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher. US citizenship is required 
  • Industry Certification (e.g. PMI-SP) a plus



  • Current TS/SCI clearance
  • An Advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or related field
