Responsibilities

In this role you will keep our systems running and supporting our business operations.  We ensure reliable execution of various scheduled events and address any problems that may arise. You will have the opportunity to interact with a variety of organizations throughout Aerospace including our customers, other IT support teams and vendors that provide services that we support. 

 

Key Functions

  • Ensures IT services such as SAP jobs, Run My Jobs (Redwood) and other services perform nominally and scheduled events complete reliably and successfully.
  • Execute SAP programs and other systems interfaces for Payroll, HR, Accounting, and other users.
  • Encrypt and FTP production files to outside vendors/carriers.
  • Retrieve and load files from various vendors.
  • Perform files maintenance which includes secure deletes.
  • Verify successful completion of previous day’s processing.
  • Modify existing jobs, and variants.
  • Work with developers to test, and create new jobs.
  • Communicate with users, and vendors to resolve problems.
  • Effectively collaborates with customers, other IT support teams, and external vendors.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to articulate issues and concerns to management.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines.

 

Preferred

  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Experience in File Transfer Protocol.
  • Experience with PGP encryption.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience with Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or 5 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelors Degree.
