Responsibilities

The Aerospace Corporation is looking for a bright person who can quickly learn new IT skills and apply their knowledge to solving problems and providing excellent customer service.  The ideal candidate will be ready to learn new processes and technologies, work well in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Key Functions

  • Develops and performs application installations, enhancements, and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Performs incident resolution, problem root cause investigation, and change management for application services.
  • Provisions/deprovisions user access and ensures appropriate application and data security is implemented.
  • Maintains, monitors and configures applications to achieve optimum performance and reliability levels.
  • Conducts routine audits of applications and accounts to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • May be responsible for training materials and curriculum related to use of corporate application systems and standards.

 

This position is available as an Aerospace Corporation Specialist I or II

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Critical decision-making skills
  • Customer service orientated
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant IT experience 
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Identity & Access Management technologies:
    • Active Directory account provisioning
    • Federation Protocols (SAML, SCIM, WS-*)
    • Single Sign On (SSO) & Web Access Management (WAM)
    • Programming or powershell scripting skills

 

Requirements for Specialist II

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Two or more years of relevant IT experience
  • Experience in process / procedure improvement 
  • Experience recommending improvements and contributing to solutions
  • Critical decision-making skills
