Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Electronics and Power Systems department is looking for a MS degree Electrical Engineer new grad to provides professional engineering/scientific support within the  Electronics and Sensors Division in El Segundo, CA. 

 

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Perform evaluation of contractor spacecraft and launch vehicle electrical and electronic system and equipment designs, including intentional and unintentional electromagnetic radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility to internal and external generated electromagnetic environments. 
  • Perform and review standard EMC analytical and test tasks. 
  • Provide technical evaluation support to system program offices for conceptual designs, proposal evaluation, design evaluation and verification, and launch operations. 
  • Duties require ability to engage in frequent in-depth interaction with customer and contractor personnel. 
  • Essential elements of this position requires the ability to develop clear and concise written reports, presentations, and the ability to concisely articulate presentation briefing material to management, peers, program offices, and customers. 
  • Moderate travel can be expected.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Math is required. 
  • The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of Electromagnetic Theory, Physics and lab component/circuit characterization techniques. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. 
  • Ability to get a DoD Secret Clearance is required, SBI clearance preferred.
  • US Citizenship is required
