The Acquisition Analysis and Information Department (AAID) provides systems engineering and acquisition support for program planning and execution and is the corporate steward of the Acquisition Support and Systems Engineering Toolset (ASSET). AAID personnel collect, validate, manage, and leverage space and launch vehicle data with ASSET for data analytics and analyses, including anomaly and issue tracking, forecasting, and risk assessments. AAID subject matter experts (SMEs) provide front-end acquisition and systems engineering support to space, launch and ground programs and conduct studies & analyses that impact acquisition or programmatic decisions.


  • Work with other members of the department to build products for US government customers that deliver real-time analytics
  • Build Data pipelines to clean "messy" data and help build standards in data cleaning for analytical studies
  • Build Data Frameworks for studies that require the aggregation of many different technical databases that may include text, images, and numerical data
  • Build fast Machine Learning pipelines that are ready for production
  • Provide backup to lead web application developer on backend development
  • May participate on studies and analyses requiring research and synthesis of technical and programmatic data





  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related discipline
  • Two or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
  • Demonstrated objected oriented programming skills, such as through the use of C++ or Java
  • Strong programming skills in a scripting language such as Python, R, or Matlab
  • Experience with "Big Data" tools such as Spark & Hadoop
  • Experience with Machine Learning and production level modeling
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL, especially in database design
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to consistently provide products of high quality
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance




  • Graduate degree
  • Experience with Extract, Load and Transform (ETL) processes at scale
  • Experience with Cloud/HPC services such as AWS and GPU Computing
  • Experience with Java or C++
  • Experience with Scala
  • Experience with PySpark
  • Experience with CUDA
  • Experience with TensorFlow
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing
  • Knowledge of Statistics
