Join an elite team in the Center for Space Policy and Strategy.  As a National Security Policy Analyst, you will perform analysis of complex national security space policy issues for the Center for Space Policy and Strategy and its customers. If you are ready to take your career to the next level, this is the role for you. 

-              Perform analysis of complex national security space policy issues for the Center for Space Policy and Strategy and its customers

-              Develop models of the interaction between technology, policy and economics and their effect on national security space issues

-              Author studies on salient technological and space policy topics and organize events to build understanding around them

-              Identify promising topics and authors for CSPS studies, and support other authors in the creation of policy papers with editorial advice

-              Work as part of multi-disciplinary and cross-Aerospace teams to address complex customer-directed and internally-funded projects, often on compressed schedules

-              Incisively identify the most critical aspects of complex problems to focus attention on variables that have the greatest impact on outcomes

-              Develop study methodologies, gather data, structure analysis, and produce visually compelling deliverables to make the complex as simple as possible for senior level policymakers and other customers, including both technical and non-technical audiences

-              Brief results to multiple levels of customer organizations

This position can be filled as a Sr MTS or Project Engineer


Required Qualifications:

-              Bachelor’s degree in a technical or policy-relevant field with 4+ years of relevant experience

-              An active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

-              Strong understanding of executive branch and congressional policy formulation processes and their effects

-              Demonstrated ability to write clear and compelling prose, especially for communicating complex and technical issues to non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications:

-              Master’s Degree or other graduate degree

-              Publications on topics relevant to national security policy or strategy
