We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer/Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to assist in the development and evolution of enterprise platform services. As the SRE, you will draw upon your expertise in acquiring, developing, and deploying software services using continuous integration and delivery methodologies. You will serve as a senior technical advisor in designing and acquiring a state-of-the-art software platform for ground services. This platform will support modern software development processes for deployment into a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Functions

  • Advise on the architecture and development of a state-of-the-art software platform to support the development of and hosting a diverse set of mission and business applications 
  • Ensure the program office and developer teams fully exploit the capabilities of the customer software services offerings, in acquiring, designing, developing, and fielding ground software services
  • Assist the Customer in architecting technology modernization initiatives focused on rapid secure capability insertions into operations
  • Assist the Customer in developing requirements for software development, integration, and delivery processes to support new missions and applications integration
  • Assist the Customer in understanding the dependencies between information technology infrastructure and the platform offerings
  • Proactively identify new technologies and commercially available capabilities for integration into the platform
  • Coordinate reach-back to Aerospace technical staff to bring industry-leading subject matter expertise to bear on critical customer needs.

In addition to the above, the Senior Site Reliability Engineer may also:

  • Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders to ensure that user needs are properly understood and satisfied
  • Assist the Customer in formulating acquisition strategies for achieving its architectural vision
  • Participate in pre-solicitation efforts and source selections to help the government achieve best-value solutions from industry


For both the Site Reliability Engineer and the Senior Site Reliability Engineer the following is required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, enterprise architecture, engineering, information technology, mathematics or related field from a recognized institution
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with SSBI
  • Exceptionally high level of innovation, creativity, and personal initiative
  • Willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to accomplish the mission
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Travel as necessary to support job requirements
  • Ability to occasionally flex work schedule to accommodate deadlines
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Required for the Site Reliability Engineer role:

  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
  • Experience in the development, acquisition, or deployment of software applications/services
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering and software development lifecycles

Required for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer role:

  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
  • Strong experience with the systems engineering and software development lifecycles
  • Experience with US Government acquisition and systems engineering processes, 
  • Experience working with software developers in a technical oversight role, such as supporting software release planning, quality assurance, deployment, or sustainment


For both the Site Reliability Engineer and the Senior Site Reliability Engineer the following is preferred:

  • Advanced degree(s) in computer science, enterprise architecture, engineering, information technology, mathematics or related field. 
  • Expertise in agile-based software development and software architecture
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of organizational change management models and initiatives 
  • Ability to solve complex problems and deliver impartial assessments to customers
