In this position, you would be supporting efforts ranging from developing simulations for evaluating criteria such as link budget in communication satellites to integrating a series of department’s simulations using a federated simulation architecture. This department provides the software engineering expertise to modeling and simulation problems, and we need your help.

 

Key Functions

  • Providing engineering support to intensive space and ground systems
  • Supporting research and development with software systems ranging from embedded systems all the way to cloud computing
  • Developing high performance simulation software for either servers or GPUs
  • Working side by side with Software Implementation and Integration Department Engineers
  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners
  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks

Qualifications

Required

  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical area of study.
  • 12 or more years of physics-based modeling and simulation development experience
  • Experience gathering technical requirements, architecting, and developing simulations
  • Experience working with HLA and federated simulations
  • Experience with cluster and/or cloud computing in simulation development
  • Experience with object oriented programming
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

 

Preferred

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Advanced Degree in an engineering discipline
