We are looking for a Ground Systems Network Engineer to perform the following duties:



  • Participate in a wide range of Prototyping and Technology Laboratory activities to include:
    • (a) Develop and lead network prototypes efforts to address challenges in a wide variety of mission areas to include command and control, mission planning & scheduling, and others;
    • (b) integrate network hardware and software to investigate new technology concepts; and
    • (c) research emerging technologies including but not limited to cloud network computing, software defined networks and high performance networking
  • Maintain technical excellence through participation in network technology studies,, independent assessments, and research efforts.
  • Contribute to and/or lead team-based projects and provide demonstrations of in-house developed prototypes/systems.
  • Contribute to technical reports and other presentations to disseminate findings, guidance and technical information to as wide an audience as possible.
  • Support coordinated analysis of network requirements, evaluation of network architectures and designs



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering/analytical discipline from a recognized institution



  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience
  • Proficient in one or more of the following: Routing protocols (BGP etc), network design,
  • A strong technical background and clearly demonstrated experience with current networking technologies: SDN, cloud controllers,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be highly motivated. Must be able to work well collaboratively or independently, as each task requires. Must be able to adapt to a customer's evolving needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.



  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering/analytical degree
  • Current TS/SCI clearance
