Responsibilities

Manages and directs operation of Property Control, Mail Services, Shipping and Receiving, Fitness Center Management, Café vendor food services contract, Catering, Event and Conference set up and break down coordination, Vehicle Fleet Management, Commuter programs, and other activities as assigned for the Aerospace Chantilly Campus (ACC) facilities and the Washington Area Offices (WAO). The ideal candidate will have direct relevent experience or experience with Office Management.

Key Functions:

  • Directs General Services functions including all aspects of Shipping and Receiving, Stores/Warehousing, Material/Property Control, Conference Services, Commuter Services, and Mail Services.  Coordinates with corporate HQ General Services operations for One-Aerospace consistency and support.
  • Oversees management of outsourced contracts for Food Services, Vending and catering, Mail Services, Fitness Center operations and support, office supplies, and other company wide or ACC wide service agreements or support contracts. Participates in selection committee for new vendors.
  • Performs administrative functions such as planning, staffing, and training; assists in the preparation and management of capital and overhead budgets.
  • Analyzes performance indicators to provide optimum level of customer service, including development and implementation of systems to streamline processes.
  • Meets with managed service vendors to review operations and enhance technologies to support operations.
  • Acts as corporate representative on various committees.
  • Responsible for hiring, supervising, providing training, scheduling overtime, approving time off, determining objectives, initiating action and completing annual review of staff. Plans, assigns and reviews the work of staff.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 5 years general services experience managing logistics, administrative, and outsourced corporate support functions, corporate and contract employees
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 Years Management experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with procurement organizations on a collaborative basis and administer service contracts
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Physical requirements 

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and complete activities.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone, SKYPE and telepresence.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment, and will visit industrial areas under their purview to review and assess operations in those locations.
  • Intermittent travel required to Washington Area Offices off site locations and travel to West Coast for management meetings.
