Responsibilities

The Security Specialist is a full-time position that will assist with security operations while working in a fast paced, team concept environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting personnel security operations in Chantilly and Crystal City, VA. Additionally, the candidate will provide executive transportation and protection for the Chief Executive Officer as needed. The candidate must have an impeccable driving record with an in-depth knowledge of the Washington Metropolitan roadways. 

The candidate may be required to respond to transportation requirements on short notice and demonstrate behavior that is consistent with the company's values of Dedication to Mission Success, Technical Excellence, Commitment to Our People, Integrity and Objectivity.

The primary location for this role is Chantilly, VA, with additional support to the Crystal City, VA office.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Primary responsibility for this job include document destruction, executive driving, and support to the personnel security department
  • Coordinates classified material destruction schedules with various program offices and performs the destruction according to Corporate Policy
  • Performs courier-related duties such as wrapping, receipting, and transporting classified materials
  • Provide driving services for visiting corporate officers, trustees, and officials to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area  
  • Conduct new employee initial security briefings and employee termination debriefings
  • Assist with processing incoming visitor requests, outgoing visitor requests, and foreign travel reporting 
  • Provide support for emergency preparedness drills and exercises
  • Assist with security education and awareness training
  • Additional duties include performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks within the Security and Safety Directorate

Qualifications

REQUIRED 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent driving record with a valid driver’s license
  • Experience driving in all weather conditions
  • Must have a current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of senior management and customers

 

PREFERRED

  • Experience driving Senior Executives / VIPs
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Works well in a team environment with confidentiality
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Flexibility with work schedule and long hours when driving
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. with no limitations when needed
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in multiple office environments in Maryland and Virginia
  • Ability to work in seasonal elements and high noise levels
