Responsibilities

Summary

The National Geospatial Programs Directorate is seeking a motivated, experienced administrative professional to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Principal Director and four departments with staff members on- and off-site from the Aerospace Chantilly Campus. 
 

Key Functions

  • Assist the Principal Director in scheduling and arranging customer meetings and staff meetings
  • Interface with the customer and Aerospace security to process personnel access and visit requests
  • Manage the Principal Director's and the Directorate calendars. 
  • Preparation of travel requests, expense reports, correspondence, weekly time cards, purchase requisitions, office supplies and other standard Aerospace forms in a timely manner
  • Maintain organizational charts and work with the business administrator to provide project cost reports and monthly and weekly cost summary reports for several projects within the directorate.  
  • May organize, provide, and coordinate incoming and outcoming mail and shipments.
  • May provide back-up to higher level administrative support.
  • The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and is located in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

Required

  • A current and active TS/SCI Clearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Typing and proofreading skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company favorably to customers and visitors
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment

 

Preferred

  • 6 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of corporate policies, practices, travel and procurement
  • Experience working with mid-to-senior-level customers and government personnel.
  • Experience in multi-discipline and classified environments and with multiple organizations across the corporation. 
     

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environments

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer to complete assignments.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment with or without windows.
  • Some lifting required.
